Tea Parties and Snow!

Christmas is 4 days away now! Hooray! This Santa is all ready for the big day to arrive! Presents wrapped and everything! Alexis is going to have such an awesome Christmas, and I am super excited for her!

She is feeling better now, which is awesome! She is sleeping better at night now at least, but I am still sick. Well, almost over it. Just got a damn cough to finish up with and all will be good with the world.

I took Alexis out the other day to play in the snow for the first time. She screamed the whole time I was getting her dressed, so it took me almost 20 minutes to get her all bundled up, I was sweating by the time it was over...lol We only stayed outside for about 20 minutes, which felt like such a waste of time knowing how long it took me to get her ready to go out! She kept taking her mittens off and trying to go near the road. But she had so much fun! For Christmas, she is getting a sled for me to pull her in, and she is going to love that!! She screamed like mad when I brought her back inside. She was so mad, she screamed for a good hour. Poor girl.

Ryan and Alisha came over the other day to give Alexis her Christmas present! They got her a Princess Ride On car! It's awesome and she loves it! My girl plays with that thing all day now! Because it has a horn, she can say "beep beep" now! So cute!

She is loving all her presents so far that our friends have came over to give her! She is already spoiled and the day hasn't even got here yet!

Out of the blue yesterday, Alexis got out her tea party set, sat the 2 cups down and started to pretend to pour tea into the cups, and pretend to drink it. It's crazy to me to see this, because we haven't played tea party in a good 2 months and I didn't even know she knew what to do with it! My baby girl is growing up so fast! Pretending and using her imagination already, and I am just loving it!

On a side note, I hate winter.

10 Days Away!! Hooray!

I am so excited for Christmas this year!! I am not really a holiday fanatic, but I still enjoy the holidays and being with family, and well, presents and turkey of course! Last Christmas Alexis was sick. Her first Christmas wasn't the most enjoyable, and well, she didn't really understand what was going on anyways, at 5 months old.
And although this year, she still doesn't really understand the whole opening presents idea, I'm sure by the end of it, she will get the hang of it!

It's only 10 days away now! I am almost ready for it too! I finally went and got some stocking stuffers today and think I might need a few more things. All her presents are ready for her from me and Matt, all put together and ready to be wrapped! I'm glad that I put them altogether. They took me forever to do it. I couldn't imagine how hard it would be, to do it all when she was around, trying to get it out of the boxes herself, knowing how she was when our friend James came over to give her a Christmas present (A leap frog dog),and I couldn't get it out of the box fast enough...lol

From me, she is getting her First Dollhouse, a little train set, a new baby stroller, which I'm thinking looks a little too small, but I'm not sure and some clothes! I picked out her present from Matt, which I am super excited for! It's a little nursery for her doll. It's all attached together and it has a little crib, kitchen, bathtub and some shelves. It's adorable, and I know she will love it, because she is so into her dolly and strolling her around the house and stuff! She might not understand the whole idea of it yet, but she will!
Joe came over tonight and gave her her Christmas present! She got a Princess Pillow and Blanket! Super cute and she loved the pillow! lol

Alexis has been sick for the last week. I feel like she has been sick for the last 2 months on and off and this cold is just horrible. Cough and everything. Snotty nose like never before. I hate winter. Tis the season, I suppose. But really, this whole cold thing sucks. A lot. Alexis hasn't been sleeping at all lately. Up crying a lot of the night and I have a cold also, so it's been a not-so-fun week. Hopefully we will both be feeling better soon though. I'm just hoping she is better by Christmas though, so this year is better than last. But I'm sure by 10 days from now, she will be feeling better!!

Christmas is Coming!

The holiday season is here! It's hard to believe how fast this year went by, and here we are, staring out from inside our windows at the snow blowing. We haven't had much snow yet this year, but it's only the beginning and a whole lot more to ~not~ look forward to.

Alexis and I are almost ready for Christmas! Our tree is up and decorated, and Alexis loves it! She, in fact, loves to take all the balls of the tree and throw them around and calls herself a "good girl" for it! It's actually kind of funny, but frustrating at the same time.

the same day I took her to see Santa!

I took her to see Santa last week, with her cousin Braelyn. I was so proud of her when she didn't cry. She didn't smile either, but that was to be expected! Braelyn on the other hand, screamed. She did not like Santa at all! I haven't had a chance to scan our Santa picture this year, but hopefully I will soon for you to see!

Alexis got over her night terrors when I decided to put a nightlight in her room, and she is finally hack to her waking up once in the night routine! And this makes Mommy happy!

Braelyn turned one on the 3rd of December! Hard to believe it's already been a year! Her birthday party was 2 days ago and that was a lot of fun! She did everything that I had wished Alexis did on her birthday...got cake all over her, opened her presents, was happy....lol She was just so cute! Alexis had fun at the party too! That was her 2nd birthday party she got to go to!

The Birthday Girl!

Matt finally came home from work for a few days! He didn't take Alexis over night, but took her for a day when I had to work, and then took her for a few hours one day, so I could get some cleaning of the house done and some laundry. I got some time in, to watch a movie and relax, and it was good. I know Alexis misses him, and I wish he was home more for her to spend time with him. But in the end, it's his choice and what he decides to do for work and coming home, is up to him. I have no idea when he will be home again now. But hopefully soon, for Alexis' sake!

But, who knows? right?

My Girl`s Growing Up so Fast!

Alexis and I are all moved into our house now. I still need a bed, and everything will be complete. Sleeping on a couch, is starting to get to me, but hopefully soon I will be able to get one. Who knows though, right.

It`s so hard to believe how much Alexis has grown in the last month. All her little jibber jabbers are turning into words, and she is trying really hard to talk more all the time! Her imagination is building, and she pretends to talk on the phone with grampa! She also pushes her baby around in the stroller and then picks her up and snuggles her and gives her a kiss and puts her back in the stroller and goes on her way again, and does it over and over. I wonder if she does that because she is imagining her baby is crying and she needs to be comforted....lol Either way, it is super cute!

This month, I took Alexis to 2 Santa Clause parades! I`m really glad I was able to do 2 of them with her, because she likes things better the 2nd time around. She`s always been like that. The first parade we went to, was in Cobourg, and we went with Nicole, Glen and Braelyn. Both of the girls didn`t smile once. They did enjoy it though, just didn`t show any real emotion for it all.

I love this picture!!

The Trenton parade was just the other night, and Alexis had so much fun at it! I knew she would enjoy it more than the first, but this girl rocked out so much the whole time, it was fun to watch! She danced to all the bands, in her stroller, head justa goin`! It was definitely a sight to see, and I wish I had video of it!

Rockin` out with Trinity!

I still need to take her to see Santa for a picture, which hopefully I can do next week. I`m actually kinda worried what she will think of sitting on Santa`s lap this year...Last year was great, but she was only 4 months old at the time. But I guess we`ll have to wait and see when we get there!

Matt came over to visit Alexis yesterday for a couple hours. He has been on the road, pretty much the whole month, and hasn`t been able to see her at all. You could tell when she saw him, that she had missed him. It was really cute to see them together! She gave him snuggles and even gave him a kiss (she started doing the kiss noise 4 days ago!) and even knew to call him *Daddy*! It was super cute!

She is quite the character these days! She makes me laugh so hard, sometimes I cry!

Playing with the seat to her potty!

Making funny faces!

Styling her own hair!

Sitting in part of the steamer! And yes, she did this by herself...lol

We finally went over to my parents house for a visit. Alexis doesn`t get to see Gramma and Grampa very often anymore, so it was nice for her to see them again! Especially because her and Grampa`s love for each other is infectious! and I love seeing them together!

I wish her hair looked like this every day! I love it!

Alexis hasn`t been sleeping that great lately. I know it seems like a forever thing with her, and she hasn`t ever slept good. But she was starting to have a good routine of finally only waking up once at night, at almost the same time (10:40ish) and then she`d sleep the rest of the way through. It was bliss! But the last few nights have been rough. I`ve been thinking that she`s been having night terrors, which apparently is common. I didn`t think it was, because really, what does a baby have to be afraid of...But I guess if you think about it, there`s a lot of things for a child to be scared of when they are experiencing things for the first time and what-not. She just wakes up screaming like never before, and there is nothing that I can do to calm her down at all. She wants to be held, but at the same time, doesn`t. And she just screams and screams and screams, and I just feel so sorry for the poor girl. Last night, I brought her out into the living room where it was light, because the night before I didn`t, and we stayed in her dark room and she cried for a good hour and a half before she calmed down. I noticed that she didn`t really have her eyes open all the way, I wasn`t even sure if she was awake or not. But I think that bringing her into the living room made her clam down easier, because when she got out of my arms, she laid on my pillow and fell right asleep and the screams only lasted 20-30 minutes.

The poor girl =(

Apparently night terrors are a result of being over-tired, which in her case, is probably true. The last few days she has skipped a nap, only because she didn`t want to take a nap (she is VERY stubborn!). She is actually taking a nap right now! (Finally!!) Took her over an hour to finally settle into her sleep, but she is there, sleeping soundly! I`m hoping tonight will be different and she wont have to go through that again, but we`ll see.

My girl is growing up so fast! I can`t even believe she is almost 17 months old already!

The Prettiest little girl in the world!

I think I might put up our Christmas tree soon. I usually put it up December 1st, but I`m not sure what Alexis is going to do with it...so I`m not sure if I`ll put it up tomorrow or not yet. We`ll see how I feel!

Love

Alexis is my favorite person in the world! She lights up my day, every day, makes me smile, laugh and love each and every day to the fullest! I love the way she loves me. The way she just walks up to me 50 times a day, just to snuggle my leg! I love how when she catches me staring at her, she smiles the biggest smile ever and whenever she finds a chance, she hides and plays peek-a-boo!

I love that when I tell her it's bath time, she walks as fast as she can to the bathroom, to get there before me, so she can put all her toys in the tub, even before I start the water up!

I love her little excited gasp she does and how even when she throws something she says "uh oh" as if she didn't really mean to do it. And how when I take a picture of her, she has to look at the screen to see herself and thinks it's the coolest thing ever!

I love how after supper I can give her a before bedtime snack of her lil' crunchie cheezies and she sits on the couch and eats them like she's a big girl now! It's crazy how fast the time goes.

I love that every day is a new day and she is ever-changing and saying new things all the time. She started saying "car" yesterday!

I love how she knows where her stuffed animals ears are, but not quite knows where hers are. She points at her forehead and says "Eeee!" It's so cute, and she'll get it eventually!

I love her when she is in the tub, she knows how to wash her face and her tummy and leg with her wash cloth and pretends to wash her hair! and tries to brush her hair with the wrong side of the comb! She knows how to brush her teeth...the bottom, not the top! But it's a start!

I love how she will open all 5 cupboards in the kitchen and go back to the first one and close them all, saying "Good girl!" every time she closes each one!

She jibber-jabbers all day long! I love listening to her cute little voice and all her expressions! Today she randomly said "pimpin ho" and I couldn't stop laughing! I can honestly say I don't think anyone has ever said that around her, it was just a jibber-jabber that came out sounding like that, and it was too funny for me to even handle!

She amazes me!

She has the cutest little dance moves and dances every time she hears any music. Her little bum just goes back and forth and she gets right into it and even kind of hums as if she is singing along to the music! She loves music, and I love that she does! She even plays her keyboards all the time!

rocking her baby in her rocking chair!

Tomorrow I go back to work for the first time since last week. I am dreading it. Not because it's work, but because I hate missing out on time with my girl. And soon enough, I am going to have to find another babysitter for weekends, and leave her more than I want to. But ya gotta do what ya gotta do, unfortunately. I wish we could live off of love, because I'd be filthy rich!

how could anyone not love that face?!

Nite nite!

A Very Long Month

It's been a long, hard month, and as much as I wanted to write, my mind has been in bad places that just weren't meant to be written in a blog. I am feeling better about everything and somehow everything worked itself out, despite all the crap I had to go through to get here and all the tears and stress all seemed to be for nothing, which is great!

Alexis and I moved into our new apartment a week ago! I can't tell you how much I love it here! It is big and I feel so at home here! I love the feeling of walking in and knowing I am home. And it's great to not feel scared anymore, like I did at my last place, because I thought it was haunted...lol

Anyways, the last couple of weeks have been crazy busy, with packing, moving and unpacking. It has all be exhausting, not just because I haven't had much time to relax, but because Alexis has decided to change up our routine and get up in the middle of the night to hang out at midnight till 2am. It's so tiring all the time. But I have been trying not to give her a nap during the day and it seems to be working, and she isn't getting up anymore in the middle of the night.

some middle of the night fun!

Alexis has grown up so much in just one month and she makes me more proud of her every day! She can now say "All gone" and "Good girl." She has been walking for a month now, and hasn't felt the need to crawl in about 3 weeks! I love watching her walk! She hasn't started running yet, but she is starting to walk faster every day!

First time walking outside!

I love this age, probably more than I liked any other age so far! She has such a nice personality (most of the time!) and if she could talk and tell me what's exactly wrong when she cries, I would wish she'd stay 15 months old, forever! She jibber jabbers all day long, walks around the apartment, saying "Good girl!" all the time, gasps at everything she finds exciting, especially when she walks in her room and sees all her toys! It is all just so cute! She is super snuggly towards everything, she even snuggles Winnie the pooh when she sees his picture in her books! It's so funny! She likes to pretend to play on my computer and moves the mouse and looks at the computer screen as if she knows what she's doing! I love every second with her, she makes me laugh so much! She gave me a kiss today for the first time! It was the cutest thing ever!!

Halloween came and went! We moved out that day, so it turned out to be a really long day for us. Nicole and Glen came to pick us up and we went to see Matt's dad and his Mom, and just took the girls trick-or-treating to 3 houses. It was just so cold outside and they didn't understand anyways. Next year will be different!

Matt and I have been getting along a lot better, now that we aren't together. It's nice to know that we can actually talk to each other now. We still don't agree on a lot of things, but that's life. He is living at his dad's and so is the dog, so when Alexis goes to see Daddy, at least she can still see Mya, and I like that! Today he actually took her for a few hours for the first time since we moved out. I missed her while she was gone, but I went to Alisha's to spend some time with her while she was in town. I'm not sure if I will ever get used to the fact that Alexis will be without me sometimes, to go be with Daddy, but it's the life I chose for us, and I think it'll all be okay in the end. He said he was going to take her again on Tuesday for the afternoon if he can before he has to go back to work, so hopefully he will make the time to do that. I know it is important for them to have a relationship, and even if it's just a few hours here and a few hours there, for now, at least it's something! Everything will all take some getting used to though.

Well, I suppose it's almost bedtime, so here are some pics over the last month for you to enjoy!!
