Early Years

It has been a looong week. I am drained, exhausted, in need of a break. Not from Alexis, but from life. I don't want to vent about things in this blog. This blog is about life with Alexis and her ever-changing ways and watching her grow. But, I will admit, some things in life are getting the best of me, and I haven't been at 100% for a little while. I'm hoping to change that sooner or later...hopefully sooner, rather than later, because I don't think I can deal with it anymore. Ahhhh!!!

Anyways, so this week has been full of the goods, the bads and the uglies. I'll start with the good, and more than likely end with the good, because there just isn't room for bads and uglies in here!

My Girl just keeps getting prettier every day! I feel like when I see her for the first time every morning, she looks older, more grown up, less of a baby and more like a little girl. It's sad, yet that's life, so I must go with it, and love it no matter what!
She has the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen! She could get whatever she wanted with those eyes of hers!

Finally, finally, finally, Nicole and I took our girls to the Early Years center in Belleville. Finally! If I could drive, I think I might have taken Alexis there before now, but we finally took them, and I am so happy that we did! Alexis loved it! She loved every minute of it! She skipped her nap that day as if she couldn't sleep because she was so excited about going....and I was worried our play date would end early because of it. But, what baby would want to leave this place? This place is baby heaven!
Scooshy Mats to climb,

new toys everywhere, things to ride, things to crawl through, balls...

When we walked in there, I knew it would be an awesome day! It was so cute to watch Braelyn try to follow Alexis around everywhere. She is just learning to crawl now, but she can get places! They are fun to watch together! They have always enjoyed each other's company and I am really happy that Alexis has a cousin so close to her age and are already best friends!

I thought it was great, when I caught Alexis trying to climb in the truck! It looks like she is doing ballet (to me, anyways), and I can't wait for the day I take Alexis to dance classes! She is super flexible...but I guess all kids are....lol

I was finally able to get out and buy my friends presents for their babies last week! I didn't get anything super exciting or spectacular, but at least it's something! My work friend's baby shower is next sunday! And when I have enough money, I can send Morgan her present too (she lives in the states), and hopefully she gets it before the baby comes!

Last Thursday was Alexis' first day with Aunt Nicole watching her! I thought it would be hard getting her up in the morning and being ready for when Nicole came and got us in the morning, but it wasn't so bad! And from what Nicole said, Alexis had fun all day with Braelyn and was a good girl all day! =) Nicole even took some pics of the girls, which I was super happy about, because...well, I love pics of my girl!

She had so much fun in the wagon for the first time! And doesn't she look so cute in that pink and black jacket?! Love it!

I'm trying to get Alexis to say Cheese when I take pictures of her now. Maybe I should have started doing that before, but who knows?! When I tell her to say Cheese for the camera, she smiles an uber cute smile for me, so I am capturing her beautiful smile all the time now! =)

On Saturday, Alexis had to go to Nicole's again for the day when I went to work, even though weekends are Matt's time with her. But things happen, and he couldn't make it home in time, so off she went again, and she had another great day!

Alexis' CHEESE smile just keeps getting better and cuter as the days go by!

cutest picture ever!

Today is only halfway over, and Alexis and I have a few days off together, to just be me and her. Today we are taking the day off from the world, and just being together. We'll have to see what this week brings! Hopefully I'll get the energy to take her out for some fun in the sun!

Xoxo
