Christmas is 4 days away now! Hooray! This Santa is all ready for the big day to arrive! Presents wrapped and everything! Alexis is going to have such an awesome Christmas, and I am super excited for her!
She is feeling better now, which is awesome! She is sleeping better at night now at least, but I am still sick. Well, almost over it. Just got a damn cough to finish up with and all will be good with the world.
I took Alexis out the other day to play in the snow for the first time. She screamed the whole time I was getting her dressed, so it took me almost 20 minutes to get her all bundled up, I was sweating by the time it was over...lol We only stayed outside for about 20 minutes, which felt like such a waste of time knowing how long it took me to get her ready to go out! She kept taking her mittens off and trying to go near the road. But she had so much fun! For Christmas, she is getting a sled for me to pull her in, and she is going to love that!! She screamed like mad when I brought her back inside. She was so mad, she screamed for a good hour. Poor girl.
Ryan and Alisha came over the other day to give Alexis her Christmas present! They got her a Princess Ride On car! It's awesome and she loves it! My girl plays with that thing all day now! Because it has a horn, she can say "beep beep" now! So cute!
She is loving all her presents so far that our friends have came over to give her! She is already spoiled and the day hasn't even got here yet!
Out of the blue yesterday, Alexis got out her tea party set, sat the 2 cups down and started to pretend to pour tea into the cups, and pretend to drink it. It's crazy to me to see this, because we haven't played tea party in a good 2 months and I didn't even know she knew what to do with it! My baby girl is growing up so fast! Pretending and using her imagination already, and I am just loving it!
On a side note, I hate winter.

10 Days Away!! Hooray!
I am so excited for Christmas this year!! I am not really a holiday fanatic, but I still enjoy the holidays and being with family, and well, presents and turkey of course! Last Christmas Alexis was sick. Her first Christmas wasn't the most enjoyable, and well, she didn't really understand what was going on anyways, at 5 months old.
And although this year, she still doesn't really understand the whole opening presents idea, I'm sure by the end of it, she will get the hang of it!
It's only 10 days away now! I am almost ready for it too! I finally went and got some stocking stuffers today and think I might need a few more things. All her presents are ready for her from me and Matt, all put together and ready to be wrapped! I'm glad that I put them altogether. They took me forever to do it. I couldn't imagine how hard it would be, to do it all when she was around, trying to get it out of the boxes herself, knowing how she was when our friend James came over to give her a Christmas present (A leap frog dog),and I couldn't get it out of the box fast enough...lol
From me, she is getting her First Dollhouse, a little train set, a new baby stroller, which I'm thinking looks a little too small, but I'm not sure and some clothes! I picked out her present from Matt, which I am super excited for! It's a little nursery for her doll. It's all attached together and it has a little crib, kitchen, bathtub and some shelves. It's adorable, and I know she will love it, because she is so into her dolly and strolling her around the house and stuff! She might not understand the whole idea of it yet, but she will!
Joe came over tonight and gave her her Christmas present! She got a Princess Pillow and Blanket! Super cute and she loved the pillow! lol
Alexis has been sick for the last week. I feel like she has been sick for the last 2 months on and off and this cold is just horrible. Cough and everything. Snotty nose like never before. I hate winter. Tis the season, I suppose. But really, this whole cold thing sucks. A lot. Alexis hasn't been sleeping at all lately. Up crying a lot of the night and I have a cold also, so it's been a not-so-fun week. Hopefully we will both be feeling better soon though. I'm just hoping she is better by Christmas though, so this year is better than last. But I'm sure by 10 days from now, she will be feeling better!!

Christmas is Coming!
The holiday season is here! It's hard to believe how fast this year went by, and here we are, staring out from inside our windows at the snow blowing. We haven't had much snow yet this year, but it's only the beginning and a whole lot more to ~not~ look forward to.
Alexis and I are almost ready for Christmas! Our tree is up and decorated, and Alexis loves it! She, in fact, loves to take all the balls of the tree and throw them around and calls herself a "good girl" for it! It's actually kind of funny, but frustrating at the same time.
the same day I took her to see Santa!
I took her to see Santa last week, with her cousin Braelyn. I was so proud of her when she didn't cry. She didn't smile either, but that was to be expected! Braelyn on the other hand, screamed. She did not like Santa at all! I haven't had a chance to scan our Santa picture this year, but hopefully I will soon for you to see!
Alexis got over her night terrors when I decided to put a nightlight in her room, and she is finally hack to her waking up once in the night routine! And this makes Mommy happy!
Braelyn turned one on the 3rd of December! Hard to believe it's already been a year! Her birthday party was 2 days ago and that was a lot of fun! She did everything that I had wished Alexis did on her birthday...got cake all over her, opened her presents, was happy....lol She was just so cute! Alexis had fun at the party too! That was her 2nd birthday party she got to go to!
The Birthday Girl!
Matt finally came home from work for a few days! He didn't take Alexis over night, but took her for a day when I had to work, and then took her for a few hours one day, so I could get some cleaning of the house done and some laundry. I got some time in, to watch a movie and relax, and it was good. I know Alexis misses him, and I wish he was home more for her to spend time with him. But in the end, it's his choice and what he decides to do for work and coming home, is up to him. I have no idea when he will be home again now. But hopefully soon, for Alexis' sake!
But, who knows? right?
