I will admit though, the long nights of screaming have stopped, and Alexis sleeps great now! I do have to put a bottle of water in her bed while she is asleep so that she wont wake up crying for me, which I know will be the hardest habit to break, and if she does cry, all I have to do is tuck her back in and she is asleep in seconds! (and go figure because I wrote this, she is not having a good night sleep tonight! Grrrr!)
She is already 19 months old! And every day she gets smarter and surprises me with all the new things she does and says! Words in her new vocabulary are Apple, Strawberry (she says yawberry!), circle (but she says the S sound at the beginning like a C) and she knows what a circle is! She can say Blue (boo) and in one of her books, says it when she gets to the page of blue, She says Gampa for Grandpa and can say Poppy (for Matt`s Dad), she says Uggy for hungry and Eeee for eat! lol and she says Ippy for her sippy cup! And the list goes on!
She loves books more than any of her toys, which I love! We sometimes look at books and hours just pass. I love that she would rather look at books with random pictures of things where I ask her where a certain thing is on the page and she points to them! That`s how she learned circle and she knows a heart as of yesterday! She will only sit through a few actual stories, and let me read all the words on the page before she tries going to the next, but it will happen in due time!
I couldn`t be more proud of her though, will all the things she knows already! Oh, she knows how to say Potty and pee pee! And knows she is supposed to pee in her potty, but wont do it. She will sit on her potty for a good 5 minutes before bath time, without peeing, only to get in the tub and pee 5 seconds later! Tonight when she did it, I whisked her over to her potty mid pee and she peed a little in her potty for the first time! I wouldn`t really call that a success, but I`ll see where it`ll get us! lol

She is happy most of the time now, although like most babies, she has her mood swings. She doesn`t like it when I take things away from her or wont let her have something...like this:

One of her new favorite things to do, is empty her toy box and get in! What a mess that is!
And my baby girl, isn`t such a baby anymore! She`s growing up and rocking pony tails with all her hair! And it`s so damn cute and big-girlish!
I`ve gotten a few breaks this month with getting a night to myself and to sleep in! Our good friend Sarah is in love with my little girl and offered to take Alexis over night one night a couple weeks ago! The break she gave me was a much needed one, as I was getting so tired, I was starting to fall asleep on Alexis` floor during story time at around 5:30pm and Alexis wacking me in the head with her books to wake up a few minutes later! So the nice long break of more than 24 hours, was needed!
And Matt was home this week, so I got one night to myself while he was here. Didn`t get to sleep in because I had work the next day, and not much of a break that night, because he picked up at 5:30pm, but I am so happy she had some time with her Daddy.
Also, in January I was able to go out with some of my girl friends and have a few drinks and have some fun for the first time since I`ve been back from the Dominican, which has been a year now! It was definitely a much needed night and it was an awesome night! Sarah took her over night that night also! Maryanne and I got our hair done at the salon and I dyed my hair black again. Every time I am single, it never fails. I always go back black. It`s a thing. I don`t know why I do it, but I love my hair dark, so it`s all good! Maryanne, Melissa and Sam came over to drink and we went to Rumours to sing Karaoke and then headed to Little Texas in Belleville! Such a fun night! Made me miss that life a little bit, but then I look at Alexis and nothing compares to her. If I had to choose which life I`d rather have, Alexis would win, hands down!
She only gets to see Matt once a month. I think it`s almost about every 3 weeks. I know Alexis` misses her Daddy a lot while he isn`t around and enjoys seeing him. I can see it when he comes over for a few minutes and sees her at my house. It sucks that every time he is home, all we do is fight and I always end up in tears because of it. I wont talk about it in here, but it definitely sucks and wish it didn`t have to be the way it is. We just don`t see eye to eye on anything, and it makes everything so hard on me. But such is life, and he is in our lives forever now, so I should just get used to it.
I`ve only taken Alexis outside to play twice in the last month, because it`s been so friggin` cold. I hate that she is cooped up all the time, and she wants to go outside all the time. She brings me her shoes and tried to put on her coat, and it`s minus 25 out there, and it`s just not playtime weather out there. The poor girl! I am desperate for spring to be here so she can go outside and just run around and burn off all her steam!
She loves it outside. She doesn`t even care if it`s cold out there, as long as she`s outside!
Anyways, I hope to start writing more, so that it doesn`t take me over an hour to post!
